The lockstrap across the front is the bag's signature detail, finished in gold-tone hardware that stands out against the dark brown leather.

The italian leather wears beautifully. It gets softer over time & holds its shape. Showed a tiny scuff on the bottom corner after a lot of heavy use, but it holds up really well.
